Your time starts now!
Last night, everyone at THE DM GROUP got together for our third agency catch-up.
It’s a great chance to talk about projects we’ve worked on in the last three months.
Of course, Georgia prepared yet another delicious penalty shot for those who couldn’t stick to their time limit. The usual suspect, Craig Hockley, ended up having to down a substantial amount of liquid to be able to finish his loooong presentation. Maybe our strategy does not work that well when the shots are too yummy to resist.
Another well featured face of the night, John ‘Jnr’ Brunckhorst was nominated three times (out of three) for the Initiative of the Quarter. No surprise, he was able to secure one precious Andy Award for his help on a top secret campaign for Melbourne Citymission.
Once everyone had their say, naturally we kicked on to enjoy the remainder of the night.
The only downside to it, waking up on Friday morning …

Everybody’s a critic…
…but not everyone’s a judge.
Which makes YMCA Victoria senior marketing communications specialist Fiona Steer and THE DM GROUP creative strategist Stephen Flewell-Smith a little special.
Why?
Because they’ve both been peer-appointed as Effectiveness Judges for the 2010 ADMA Awards.
And effectiveness is ultimately what advertising’s about, right?
BIG RESULTS.
The big idea is just one of the methods we use to achieve them.
We know it’s an opinion some of our more creative advertising colleagues are sure to criticise.
But at the end of the day, the bean counters and the public even – like those helped by the YMCA – will judge differently.
And so do we.

We’re going global
Today, trademarkDM was announced as one of six international judging hosts for The Global Awards.
We’re proud to be hosting the Melbourne leg of the world’s premier healthcare communications awards program.

Naturally, we hope see some great pharmaceutical work.

A super night for winning
Monday night saw two of THE DM GROUP’s clients win at the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees Awards for Excellence 2009.
UniSuper collected the Gold Communication Award for its Decisions 101 online tutorial.
In fact, it’s the third industry award the trademarkDM-clickDM developed tutorial has won this year.
Also collecting on the night was HOSTPLUS.
It picked up the Silver Communications Award for its Tax File Number campaign, again developed by trademarkDM and clickDM.
So it really was a super night.
For our clients.
And us.

Where’s Andy Harrison?
trademarkDM head of art Andy Harrison is known for his ability to zip around the office quicker than the speed of light.
That’s why it was Andy’s job to submit the final details for our 2009 ADMA Awards finalist entry for YMCA Victoria more than two months ago.
Today Andy’s zipped all the way to Sydney to find out if we’ve earned a gold, silver or bronze for the fourth consecutive year.
We’re sure he’s enjoying himself at the Gala Dinner with the rest of the YMCA team. And we hope they come back with a metal souvenir for our shelf.
