Popping our black balloons
Last financial year, THE DM GROUP produced 5.5 tonnes of greenhouse gases a month. That’s 1,100 black balloons.
Every. Single. Month.
Which is why today our corporate social responsibility team launched a campaign to cut our energy consumption by 10%.
Each week for the next month the team will email a simple energy saving tip that staff can employ in the agency workplace.
At the end of the month, we’ll be able to see if our efforts have been rewarded with a reduced bill – and a surprise treat.
So as our CSR team frog icon says, hop to it.

Every body’s an ADMA finalist
Yesterday, we told you how our 2008 acquisition campaign for YMCA Victoria fitness centres was the most successful ever.
Today, we can tell you it’s a finalist in the 2009 ADMA Awards.
We’ll find out if it’s earned a bronze, silver or gold in the Travel
and Entertainment effectiveness category at the Gala Dinner
on November 19.
The result will appear in the ADMA Awards annual.
It’s the fourth consecutive year we’ve enjoyed ADMA success – a great record of talent and consistency for our agency.
Well done everybody.

Working out with the Y
Last year, we started working with YMCA Victoria.
Our multi-channel direct marketing campaign for their health and wellness centre membership drive was the most successful ever.

The Peter Allen of Production
We always thought trademarkDM production manager David Findlay was stuck in the past.
Now we have proof.
He says it’s to impress the ladies at a 70s fancy dress party this weekend.
We reckon he’s auditioning for the lead in The Boy from Oz.
Knowing Findlay, he probably believes he’s got the body to give Hugh Jackman a run for his money.
